Heart Rest Print
Many of us struggle with mental health issues – sometimes we share our experiences while other times we battle quietly where no one can see. My print series for September is a walk through my personal experiences and struggles with mental health.
This piece focuses on the idea of rest. It can be easy, through struggles in mental illness, past trauma, compassion fatigue, or even overworking yourself, to get run down. The inspiration for this illustration was envisioning what it might feel like if one could truly rest and experience the peace from separating from strong tumultuous emotions and turmoil.
Maybe you’ve struggled with something that resonates here or maybe these pieces will help to give a glimpse into some of the ways that (at least one person) experiences the journey.
This print is sized at 11×17 inches.
